Bracken bashing

Bracken bashing - Amphibian and Reptile Conservation

Go Back to Results

Project Summary

Helping to control the spread of bracken on a site by bashing/cutting several times over a season, this in theory weakens the plant and allows us to push back its spread. This is used as an alternative to chemical control as bracken can form dense stands and out compete other heathland plants.
