Project Description

We're looking for Volunteer Roadside Wardens who can help us keep an eye on the roadside verges and roads close to their homes. We currently have roles available in the Dover, Swale and Medway areas, as well as some other areas of Kent.

Our Roadside Nature Reserve Volunteers help us by participating in task days, carrying out essential work on the verges and roadside alongside our staff team. Volunteers can join us for a full or part day, and you don't need any previous experience in conservation work, so long as you are enthusiastic and willing to learn. You'll get to see the wildlife and their habitats in a totally new way!

We also ask you to monitor the verges on at least a monthly basis, carried our at your own convenience during daylight hours. You will be provided with full and on-going training for this, as well as a point of contact to report any issues.
