Project Description

Volunteers will visit sites on a specific day each week and report any issues to our Wardens. The volunteers will be offered full training in checking livestock and monitoring activity on these sites, as well as on-going support.

We have a range of livestock that help us in managing our sites to create the best habitats for wildlife on our Reserves. Our livestock does move between sites on a regular basis, so we may only be looking for temporary volunteer help in specific areas.

Who we're looking for: We offer full training and support for volunteers, so you don’t need to be a livestock expert, but will need a willingness to learn more about livestock and conservation. You must however, love walking and be happy to be out in all weathers. You’ll need access to a phone and (ideally) email in order to report progress to our wardens. Some of our sites are not accessible by public transport so it would be advantageous if you have access to your own transport.
